It/they might be a bit exxy, but where you gonna get one?.....you need people like that to make parts to keep the bikes going.....if that was for a road racing bike, they would have sold as soon as he made them!!!...those boy's will pay whatever. The part looks awesome and would have taken alot of hours to make....quality=money. Good on him, and I hope he makes a few nicker out of it.

I don't think the 85 cover is the same. A bit later like 87 will accept the later alloy cover. I will be buying one when the 85 500 one is available. Thanks for the heads up that someone is making them. I reckon the next one on his to do list will be the 84 250.

have you tried Brad?

i know 85/86 are same and the crankcase deck for cylinder is 5mm higher on the 87' onwards compared to 85/86. i seem to think their was a water lines plumbing change in late 80's so your probably right. you better buy a RH, RJ & RK for future reference purposes  ;)

I think from memory from what i have read on Marks swapmeet is that the 89 250 is the first of the aluminium covers that will retro fit back to 85 models, there are some other parts you must use from the later bike, cannot remember exactly what, but things like the impeller assy & the waterpump outer housing,an added bonus with the later cover is the quick access clutch cover,if you looked back through the posts on the swapmeet it's all there :)
