look behind the photos
« on: July 20, 2011, 08:16:23 am »
The other day I was trawling thru Evilbay and was looking at a bike that sort of interested me. Looking behind the bike was a frame that looked like a TM suzuki so I sent the guy a message "whats the frame behing the bike". Sure enough it was the bones of a TM125, great pipe good engine and frame with some other bits on it. The next question after how much was what else - he also had a KX80 1981 complete but a rebuilder - I bought both for 300 dollars.

The point is I got lucky; the advice is to look closly at the pictures on auctions and ask the question, you never know what your going to find.

Anyone else been lucky like this?

 :D :D :D :D :D

I had a similar thing happen a few years ago when I was selling my VK Group A Blue Meanie.  I advertised it on Evilbay and in some of the pictures yo ucould see my VK Group 3 parked behind it.  To cut a long story short, the buyer of the Group A offered me an additional $shitload for the worn out Group 3.  I was a very happy man when the VIP man arrived to pick them both up and handed me a bank cheque that paid off the home mortgage  ;D

I do it also, can get in early before they decide to list it.

Saw a 83 kx350 in the background of an ebay ad, got hold of the guy and got some info and more photos, but he wants $5k for it, which I think is a bit much....

I'm in the market for a WR450 and came across this tonight.  At first I thought I was seeing things and I know it's a bit small but check out what's in the background of this pic  ;D
