If you were to look at the recent posts part of this forum anytime in the last week or so you'd see that about 80% of the topics were nothing to do with Vintage Motocross.
Myself and a lot of friends get on here to look and talk VMX... if we wanted to talk politics we'd get on a political forum.
I don't see Vital mx, MXtrax, Fullnoise or Mototalk forums cluttered with political and non bike related crap..

It won't fit...side exhaust port fouls the frame downtube.

Marc ...... Looks like Mr Felton is going to be quite busy in the new year ;D
Pretty sure Firko has a post about putting one of these in a frame, and talk of  a full circle crank on how to tame these widow makers down.

Bikes busy enough as it is, I am back in NZ next year for maybe good and really keen to get the spanners out. I have the shits with having to travel and hour across Tokyo to get some shop time.

I figured between Mikes obvious panel skills and mine with lathe and mill we will be able to double production.

Anything has a longer swingarm than an RL, it's little wonder those things were so easy to lift the front wheel on

Have always been keen on the enduro versions me self-in either KTM or Penton forn, and a 175 would do. Any body know where I could pick one up?

Race pants? Ummm, OK, go for it. But can you get ummm a proper model to show them off? Someone err younger and more curvy, perhaps even female?

Now, without meaning to piss in Jason's pocket, isn't that KX250 from East Coast Vintage gorgeous? Man I love the look of those things.

Here it is again (or if you prefer, look at the pic full size: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/jpw3578/Vintage%20Motorcross/1979%20KX250%20Fox%20Air/DSC07056.jpg)

Good call Graeme!  ;D

Why do you think that I am collecting KX250s?

Here's one that I am still waiting for form the USA...

I bought it about 5 years ago and I think it will make it here before Christmas!

There are thirty bike related threads on this forum. In those thirty threads are hundreds of bike related topics. There is one general discussion thread.  General discussion is usually for any off topic subjects that us motorcyclists are interested in.  In the hundreds of topics in the general discussion there is one about carbon tax.  Obviously it has some interest to people, as it has run for twenty odd pages.

I don't understand why the angst over one thread amongst hundreds.  It is to some degree still a free country and you can avoid that one thread.  Reading it and then wining about it doesn't contribute to the forum.  Go out to the shed take pictures of your bike junk and start a bike junk in shed thread or something.

As for soft porn, it lowers the forum further and I now have to make sure my kids aren't on my lap when I'm on here.  Those who complain the forum is going downhill may actually be oiling the wheels of decline.

Can we block the carbon tax thread? get back to why we are on this forum, or it's gone. I have a cross-ectiion of bikes in the shed, trials to Enduro to road bikes. I joined here to gain some more info on these bikes, not listen to carbon copy crap.
Please Admin, could plz slow this carbon stuff down?

Listen here Slakewell .. I undertand you are a popular contributor on this forum but I don't know you from a bar of soap, in fact I probably walked past you a dozen or more times at CD8 and didn't have a clue who you were, however I have come to admire your work .. your avatar and your pictures are second to none.

So please, on behalf of those of us that are are comfortable with ourselves, our sexuality, understand that it takes all types to make the world go around, realise that forums are good fun, are a great source of advice, assistance and tips (and sometimes humour), please please please do not compromise your outstanding standards (eg pictures like miss stiff nipples a few pages back and your Avatar) just to suit someone elses small minded view on the world.

And as for the carbon tax saga .. I haven't read one single page of it.  Maybe those complaining can do the same.  If it's in general discussion and the title doesn't grab you then don't read it.  But if you make the mistake of opening a thread only to discover that it doesn't suit your view of the world or the forum, simply close it and move on.

Nuff said  ;D

In honour of your missing Avatar,I will now proceed to change mine to a more politically incorrect version.  Feel free to join me  ;)
