The only really good PE headlight shroud is/was from the UK, from Gary Marsh.
I got two from him a while back and can confirm they are excellent.
Absolutely perfect - but be warned, a fairly difficult chap to contact/deal with...

You got that right. He has none left anyway and several of us gave up on him trying to get more made.

Seriously out of shape

If i had the time i could show you the sorts of things that can be done to old plastics if your desperate. If you found a shell thats just faded it is possible to paint it and get it looking as if its not painted.

Leith, I placed one onto a NOS headlight (that came from you!) in the sunshine of summer and it fitted like a glove, took correct shape and is now resident in North Carolina on Bill's daughter's bike. Looks dead-set perfect.

A great pity that none are left - I have found nothing close to them.

I think i will have to stick it in the sun and see what happens. The mounts are bent too. The only hope we have is if somehow Nick at Motoduro can take over and buy the rights to the mould from Gary.

Are you sure they are injection moulded that looks vacuum moulded to me because when that has been made that part has been sucked in as has the mounts I am making my own thermoformer to do my own plastic work atleast try it out I might fail but that is the worst that could happen. ;)

Also I was going to have a crack at making an airbox it is obviously been a 2 part mould on the airbox not blow moulded because there is a part line cleary visible I think that DC moulds aren't as good as they could be.

Well this is injection moulded. You can not vacume form these in one piece. Thats why DC makes theres in 2 bits and pop rivets the 2 bits together. The injection moulded ones even had the part numbers cast in. The colour was good but not perfect because the plastic is sort of not the same as original. I dont know what it is but is sort of has a semi translucent look to the surface and looks a bit different, but as Luke says these were the best available while they were available. Mine is quite rock hard though and not too flexible. I know at least one broke and they were ment to be changing the plastic. Then things went quiet. Air boxes are not in the same league as the light shells. I dont think they are in desperate need of reproduction yet.
