Cool shots.. It amazes me when i look at these dirt track hotrods with down pipes, lowered and big front and rear discs and Dave Armstrong used to turn up on his stock CR500 with another set of wheels and blow them into the weeds year after year in the 3 hour riding by himself! :)

Yeah, David was pretty damn good at the 3 Hour. That said, I guess for an endurance race stockish is gonna be more reliable. The hotrods may have been a better option for the sprint racing. I have to say I always wondered if the hassle was worth it - watching a few of the A-Graders and the constant fettling and adjusting and blow ups and so on.  Must have been, they won a lot!  ;D

I am really enjoying scanning in these pics - most of them I haven't looked at for years and it really brings back the memories. Action Park was a fun track, especially back in the oiled dirt days.

Action Park still is a fun track, still is oiled, subject to MA/MQ fun police.
