I have rebuilt a 72 cr 250 , an find the distance between first an second gear to be enormous when physically changing gears . Is this normal or has the bike been fitted with incorrect gearing ? Can I change this at all . Confused !

changing gears on a cz is an art different to any other bike i have my 1972 cz400 is the same the gear leaver moves a long way
