It was available.
Transportation wasn’t a question.
Price was fair and affordable for you.
Not specials like CCM or HL just a good race bike.

For me I love a good Husky Auto 77 model.
Current bikes. KTM MC 250 77 Husky CR 360 77, Husky 82 420 Auto Bitsa XR 200 project. Dont need a pickle just need to ride my motorcickle

I'd have to say a YZ360B, most other bikes of interest are readily available although a CCM would be on the list.

It almost seems wrong and I don't want to look like I am bragging, but I don't really have any more bikes on my wish list  :(. I had a bit of an addiction going there for a while, where I hunted down every bike that I desired (but couldn't afford) in my youth . Now, I just want to stop buying and get all the bikes that I have race ready and sell off the ones that I don't want to keep . This will take me well into my twilight years . Unless something like a twin carb Puch or a nice cheap KX250 A5 comes along, I will try to resist buying anything more . I must have similar taste to some of the posters on this thread though, because I already own a '77 Husky 390 AMX, '74 Maico MC440, VB250 Montesa Cappra and a number of other Husky Autos. Unusual that nobody has mentioned an '81 Maico MC490, as it generally seems to be regarded as the "Rolls Royce" of VMX.
On the subject of the '77 Husky 390 Auto, the Husky Club guide of frame and engine numbers lists the '77 model Auto as a 360 . But I have a Motocross Action magazine test from mid 1977 on a 390 AMX Automatic that says that it is officially a '77 model . Now that my '77 CR390 seems to no longer have 3rd gear, I was thinking of swapping the bottom end to an Auto, so I can bring it to CD8 to ride on the pre '78 track .

A 2 Valve Jawa Speedway bike with a Streety 4 Valve conversion.
Preferably one, as ridden by Crumpy Snr.
They really set the pace in 75, just before the legendary Weslake took over.
There's a photo on the forum somewhere of Ivan on one and he was a Jawa factory rider.
That'll tell you how good they were.

Well I'll be buggered :o. I had no sooner finished typing and hit the post button in this thread, before I noticed the thread on the twin carb Puch . I ran it past the Minister for War and Finance, but she seems to be taking a dim view of me trying to buy it. I'm betting now that a nice and cheap KX250A5 somehow crosses my path in the near future  :D.

Twin pipe or side pipe CZ.
Ready to go VR250 or Phantom.
77 TM125.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
