ok to clarify when you import a vehicle customs check your paperwork and work out what tax you need to pay and check the container to make sure it is a legit import ie vin match bikes /vehiclemake sure it is a legal import,and there is no contraband in the contaner ie drugs,firearms etc.,they have nothing to do with the cleaning side.aqis -australian quarentine inspection services inspect the bikes/container,looking for insects,vegatation,dirt etc.aqis dosnt get paid to wash the bike/vehicle,they just direct that you will wash the vehicle.that job is done out at the port in a wash bay ,which has to be cleaned out and the residue disposed of at a certifed dump,plus the rents out at the port are huge ,mind boggling huge !aqis are just doing there job (certain that they just pick some bikes even if clean to justify their job)if you are a one off importer you are going to get charged accordingly,whereas i bring volume in i get a better rate,i even got a christmas card from customs last year
