Maico Campsite at CD8
« on: March 23, 2011, 06:38:12 pm »
Mr. Ken Smith has agreed to give us (Maico Riders) our own campsite at CD8 this year. So if you would like to be with the Maico Lovers and Fans Group at CD8 please let me know so I can get back to Ken and give him the numbers he needs to allocate a location and size. If you are not yet part of the Maico Lovers and Fans Group, why haven't you joined?

I for one am looking forward to CD8 and now I get to be in the spirit with other Maico Riders. Please respond as soon as possible.

I think it's a great idea. Throw a few old flannels in and let 'em go for it...... ;)

I found this article by Ian Irving very interesting. I’m an engineering philistine yet I still understood it.
Don't be cruel Slakewell :-* I seem to remember you enjoying that sponsored ride on 'Big Red', my Maico SC500 at the Last Amaroo. Traitor.
Good luck with the Camp Maico KTMaico. There'll also be a lot of Maicos mixed in with the hotrods in the Kevlar Kompound as per the last four years.

Hey Slakewell - you still have a couple of Katos, yeah?

I'm more than happy to stake out a KTM 'spot' for fellow Katoomers.

I'll be there nice and early Saturday morning and staying all weekend... whadya reckon?

Well I'm going to take 6 KTM's and then we have the Lewis boys who take at least 5  ;D and at least KTM have won a few world Championships.
Ill be there early Friday so Ill talk to the powers who be and see if they can spare some space. Daryle Lewis wanted to know if you solved your jetting problems and if not he is willing to try and help you.

I do love the big red bikes too thou.

I'll be at Rocksburg this weekend to try and figure it all out.

I'm going to try a bit more oil (from 40:1 to 32:1) and I've gone over all the intake gaskets and tightened everything up, so we'll see how it goes. It may not be quite as hot this weekend either.

If you secure some Katoom 'space' at CD8, save me a spot will ya?

Thanks for the call up Kevin. As you know I'm not loyal to one brand so I can't be playing favourites. Plus we have our own motley crew that sticks together so we can brag about our manufacturers world titles . Oh and good luck trying to get any sleep with Mr Noel 'Marlboro Man' Harker pitting with you  :D

Sorry Maicomen,

The powers that be as per last year have allocated the hill for the Bultaco clan. This was done on a greater needs basis. ;D ;D ;D
