I rekon that modern music is SHIT and a small child could do it.
Saying the same thing OVER and OVER just like an Australian PM.

I was watching and episode of Full Throttle Saloon last night and this rival outfit had set up Smash Mouth playing across the street. My wife who is somewhat younger is going ohhhh Smash Mouth.

What happened the Full Throttle was packed to the rafters to watch Billy Ray Sirus and it was Smash Mouth Who? .... so it is a generational thing

I probably need to clarify my complaint.
The MODERN music I am talking about has only risen it,s ugly head in the last year or so.

EXAMPLE
New one being played now. These are the words.
" This is a song I,ve written just for you, hope you like it. Na na na na na n na nannananananananananana" .
That,s it, there is NOTHING ELSE.
I don,t mine Rammstien,White Stripes , Peas but this new stuff is just brain dead shit.
Grump,Grump,Grump ;D

My recent brush with musical fame was cleaning out a few Caronas from the base player of the Yayaya s hospitality suite

My old brush was more interesting, where I shagged this chick who was dating a Gypsy King  ::)

As Elton quotes the decent artists on the stage with a lot of spunk and that ie lady ga ga, their will never be another meat loaf, david bowie, beatles, stones, phil collins, clapton, neil young the eagles, America, elvis. etc etc etc
James blunt is good, James Reyne he is great.

Mate, now you are talking. Just for good measure throw in Peter Gabriel, Fleetwood Mac, Xavier Rudd, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Chris Rea, Dire Straits, The Police, Mental As Anything and Icehouse. Some of these are probably not everyones cup of tea, but at least you can understand the lyrics and they are mostly relevant in some way.
