1985 CR250 RF Engine
« on: January 24, 2011, 11:48:54 pm »
Hi guys. I have completed my RF resto, and have a very nice bottom end with electrics and what appears to be a very good barrel.

This is the correct RF ATAC barrel. Has good plastic stator cover fitted.
There is no clutch fitted or clutch side cover/water pump cover. Also no piston or head.

Engine has new mains, good crank, and a working gearbox.

Asking $250.
Pickup from Sydney area.

I can send pics to anyone interested, and will throw them up when I get a chance.

My bike pictured below.

Cheers guys!

Hardo

Hey Shaun.
I'd really like to and have been considering getting into some VMX riding.

What club are you in? Heaven?

I am also building an 83 KX250 C1 which should be done in a few months.

G'day Hardo

Yep I'm in HEAVEN. Great club. I can pass on contact details if you want just send me a pm.

HEAVEN only caters for up to Pre '85 though so if you want somewhere to race your RF we are putting together a new club for bikes from 1980 to 1989. Send me your email address by pm and I will add you to the database for that if you like.

Cheers
Shaun

ENGINE HAS BEEN SOLD. Thankyou.

Shaun: Cheers mate PM sent Re: Heaven .

Bill: Thanks mate. They are such a classic old Kwaka look. I gave my wife a choice of three pictures of bikes I wanted to restore, she chose the C1, and so then the hunt started!    ;D

It's coming along great...
Hardo.
