Pre 75: Honda, Kawasaki, daylight, Yamaha, everything else.

Pre 78: YZ-D if you're fat and/or can't keep the RM on song, otherwise the RM-B. About a week's worth of daylight back to the other options, although the RM-A and YZ-X are OK.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

The RM125B was one of the nicest and fastest 125's straight out of the crate. That would be my choice.

Yes I mean to say pre 78, the honda is good for the pre75, but looks to low for the pre78 race. can they be made better

What does a 77 model Kawasaki look like, a 76 Kawasaki would look like a 74,75 model l would link. l think the best bike would be the one you would like to ride, in today vmxracing it shouldn`t matter, just by the one you would like to race and you will enjoy it more.

I owned one of these and it was the most sexy little thing.
It was slower than an Tax refund and blew up constantly even when I gave up and paid O'Brien to build the motor for me it only last 10 laps before it blew up again.

What's the secret to yours Rusty? It seems to keep going and going (although I know you had some trouble with it at The Nats one year). They look great! :)

I was sponsored on the elsinores, and the RM125 S too, both great bikes, the elsinore was my pick over the too, but in 1979 l raced a KX 125, and l thought it was a slug, the honda 73 to 75 was a much better bike. Later models got bigger and heavier. The 74 model Kx 125 A which l have now was one bike l would have liked to have ridden back in 1974, but my sponsorship kept me from not having one. The montesa VB 125 was a better looking bike than the A model, but it also was to late, and also had the same problem that the A model had.
My choice would be for pre 78 and that would be a well sorted Rm B model if you are looking for teller suspension if not l would buy a Honda. where do you live Lucien as my nephew has a very nice B model and he lives in Brisbane he may sell it.

Your nephew has a A Dave with PE forks. It also now has one very fast motor after I built it. They never made a KX in 77 Dave and I cant see a 79 KX being slower than a 73 to 75 CR.
