I reckon the Kawasaki forks where dodgy...whoever got them might be in for a surprise...everything he listed was bike model specific except for those 2 sets of forks...I reckon the forks themselves are roadrace items, the 36mm forks are very short, tripples look KX/SR...the 38mm forks  are short for 38's and dont have knurrling where the tripples go, the tripples look too "modern" and they have a disc brake mount on them...I think thats why they went cheap especially compared to the OW forks....the OW front wheel and brakes price blew me away though....I hope he puts more stuff up...do you know who he is?...the KX/SR tank went cheap...especially compared to holly equip's replica's...I wonder if they bought that tank?
I hope you're wrong about the forks!
I know his name now but doesn't ring a bell. The price for that OW front hub was insane!! I'd like to get my hands on Hannah's bike that he has in those photo's.

I wonder how many guys in Aussie are gonna bid on that YZ360B engine?....his freight's abit exy though, what do you reckon the motor will go for...I'm picking $1850.00. We should start a guessing game on some of this stuff....first prize..a date with Ji? ;D :D ;D

Mainline thats looking awesome. My dad will love it when i show him this! He cant wait to change his imported c from yellow to white, as he bought one brand new in 76. And that means i get his yellow plastics for my X !

I doubt it now, but if for some reason you wanna put a C swingarm on it i have a spare i bought cause it had a shock attached i needed. Actually i think it has the chain guide on it for C (different to X) if you just need that.

Again, looks fantastic.

Steve, no thanks, I'm runnning the X swingarm/shock (and forks) as they are slightly longer than the C, thanks anyway though. The idea was to make a C with the best bits of the X as from what I've been told the C came out pretty late and a bit behind the competition, and then the X was rushed out to compete with what the other manufacturers had come up with.

So I'm trying to come up with what I reckon the C should have been?

Your on drugs Paul, the C was the first long travel 125 available, sure it came out late compared to the YZ250/360 B's (early 74) that it was styled off, but was out before the RM125M (which was a dud as Suzuki bought out the "S" and the "M" hop up kit almost straight away ). The CR and KX where last years model (bold new grapics in magazine talk). In late 74 and early 75 they where the hot ticket and it wasnt untill the S came out it had any competition. The X, allthough slightly faster was heavier than the C and alot of riders preferred there old C model. I think building one with the best of both worlds is the go and thats what i will be doing...not with those heavy shit X forks though. Biggest problem with C's  and X's is there heavy mother farkers compared to the Suzuki's (A's and B's) which are the class leaders and a light bike does everthing better!! ;) ;D. Having said that I am looking forward to my 125C build up....I'm giving it a Jenny Craig membership.

Well, i don't know where I got the idea from then, I thought it was general concensus and that it'd been discussed on here?

Anyhow, there must have been a few people doing it back in the day, as my C had some X bits on it, and the one that Vandy picked up has all the X suspension gear too.

Yeah i remember the YZ125C and then the RM125S being the 2 best bikes of '75 and way ahead of the CR & KX.
Those C's were cool being the 1st cantilever 125 and looking like the works bike.

DC - I have been watching the 360B motor also - I don't reckon it will get that high (I hope anyway).  yeah freight is atrocious - best I could get quoted was $650USD - bids have been slow?

You're both right, according to my understanding.
Basically Yamaha & Suzuki were fighting it out in the 125s - pumping out new models at a rapid rate. Whichever bike was the most recently released had the upper hand until the 1977 models (YZ-D & RM-B) when they settled back into a normal model cycle.

AFAIK, in chronological order:
RM-M;
YZ-C;
RM-S;
YZ-X;
RM-A;
YZ-D;
RM-B.

The TM125 is as relevant to discussions about competitive 125 races bikes in the 75~77 era as the CR, KX, and MX-C.

And you're right: I've been researching 1990 Mercedes power steering fluids - a genuinely mind boggling topic (until you talk to Tony on the phone and actually get a straight answer that makes sense :) ).
