Got my "Final Instructions" today.  Haven't raced dirt track for years.  I have body armour which I use for VMX, but what is the Back Protector which has to be inspected?  If I haven't got one, how much does it cost?  I assume it is mandatory.

Rule18.1.2.4. applies. In my understanding those combination suits mounted on mesh which include a back protector from top to base of spine are ok. If you have the typical body armour, without the long back section, you'll need a separate protector. Contact Mat Kuhn at Shark Leathers who have low cost protectors 0755735118 or [email protected] & tell them I sent you. If you decide to buy I can collect it for you. They are just off the motorway a few k North of the Gold Coast

can I just add one more thing; if it hasnt got a muffler fit one now, you will not get past machinery without one; If you have one at Machinery and it vanishes some time thru the meeting while your out on the track you will be asked to pack up and go home.

whats the go with 2 laps of practice??  drive 15hours and have 2 laps 2 set ya bike up,  that sounds good for our sport, and our interstate competitors who dont know the place, our gearing and jetting

theres a lot more serious ones than me EML, costs a  few bob to enter, get there, motel, rebuild engines, time off work, we come 2 support these events, we should have a better practice session than a club day practice

Try the VMX nationals matey, 3x 10min races over 3 days with the same practise and it's only 2000ks one way.
Anyway-it's not about the win is it-you just want to come and see us :D

It's "let's get our knickers in a knot on the forum" time again. An enquiry to the right source would have got an answer much quicker. The plan is an out lap [sighting], two laps, then slow down/exit lap. This can be repeated within the 20min. block for the relevant era bike.

Hey Elsie, this EML fella seems to think Dirt Track is a sinch, which means he should clean up.
He's a Sidecarist so that explains a fair bit  ;) :D ;D
Don't worry by the time the Finals come around you'll have the place pegged.

At least at the dirty track I can get in front of Popeye-for a little while-on the left handers-when we are going sideways :D :D :D
I'll be happy to just get some laps in-it's been a very lean couple of years for us since he built the big engine. It's fffffast though....
