VMX in the NT
« on: December 07, 2010, 10:57:32 pm »
Does anyone know who I can contact regarding VMX in the NT as I will be living and working there for the next 12 months. Without a regular vmx fix I dont know how I will survive.

Hi Tony,

There's two of us here now so you'll add 50% to the numbers :o

Seriously, There's two regular riders with five bikes. We get a few surprise entries from time to time and 'recruit' a few trusted souls to ride what ever we're not riding.

There are three natural terrain meets early in the year with one club (vintage friendly track and our own class) and the other club in town have a permanent facility with a natural terrain track. There's 6-7 meetings a year there.

We do a few trail rides through the year (a few mates) and at times take the vintage bikes for a laugh.

Where are you moving to? When do you get here? What do you ride?

Cheers

Brent

Nah not mine but I did work for Nissan for a few years.

I saw it down at Hidden Valley on Sunday at the last meeting. I was parked in a corolla under the power lines just near it ( near the see-saw) it was around lunchtime when there was a break cause of a bloke got hurt I think?

I was gonna Root (barrack) for the old Fella (Podge) but couldn't bee stuffed waiting so I went home

Anyway, we'll have to have to catch up and have a Beer.

Your mate came around on the weekend and checked out the KX ... did He tell you what he thought of it?

Beefa,
I was near my ute in a flouro vest as a marshall on that obstacle. Adrian did the first at least one lap in the first race and he deserves extra credit for that! I know how bad the track was because I set the course and I didn't so anyone any favours!
I'll PM contact details, you're wecome to drop in on your way home some time.

TC, I thought we were away from it all up here but mate you're even away from us! depending on how you are going time wise give me a call on Thurs. I'm only 5 mins form the airport.
How often do you get into town? And the question begs to be asked, what are you doing out there???????????

Alison, my plates are general plates, not club use or anything like that. They were a birthday present from my wife just before we left to attend CD3. I don't think they would be worth much due to a lack of interest in VMX up here but they will NEVER be sold!
There was a guy at CD3 from WA with the plate "VMX74"

Cheers
