CZs are definitely 'different' to ride. Ours is converted to wet clutch and it seems to work well. You don't need to touch the clutch that much during races. I hardly ever do.
Ours isn't a CZ frame, so I can't comment on handling, but I hear they are pretty good.
The long throw gearchange is the hardest thing to adjust to. My tip? Don't ride your modern bike back to back with your CZ. Also, if the motor is on song, it really helps the gearchanges to slot in properly. If it's dying off too much between gears, I find I hits neutrals more often.
They have the best drum brakes out there, much larger front drum than a Maico, for example.
