Ok, I picked it up this morning, gave it a run and I'm happy. Why do all these Euro bikes sound like they're about to blow up??
It's definitely not stock, but I can get it back close with the parts that were included. It came with the original (and new) front end complete and internals from the rear brake, so it will cost me nothing to dump all that stuff.
It's got Ohlins shocks and a modified swingarm on the rear. Shocks are leaking slightly, so that might need doing soon.
It's got a Mikuni carb but again the stock one is in a box.
Turns out it is a 280 after all and even came with a brand new Wiseco piston kit to suit.
No doubt I'll have more dumb questions as I get into it.
All in all, should be fun and very different to the Montesa.
