Don't know about the shox Firko but I perfer the look of the alloy gaurds over the 'boat tail'.

I prefer the boat tail. I love these old Banditos, they've got more soul than a truck full of Lobitos.

Just a bit off topic but does anyone know if the original steel gaurds available, got a 73 husky rt that had these originally and wouldnt mind a set

G`day Rosco, I think they where alloy, but you`d have to be a bloody Accountant to afford them , Vintage Husky advertises them.

           The originals were Stainless steel, I have an original front from my RT that you can have a look at. You will have trouble getting s/s.I think Snowy's alloy option is about as good as your going to get. The s/s come up on evilbay sometimes.

Hodaka guards are very very similar and a lot easier and cheaper to find/buy ...Hey what am I doing in Bultaco World??? Easy  Astros , Boat tails ,Black and White El Banditos the Blue Parsangs are simply beautiful machines. Tim

Didn`t say I was a good mechanic? Had to spend a bit on the crank and engine case repair, so this will be a long term project.
