The 78 79 style Maico are my favorite Maico , i really like the 79 models but prefer the 78 short side panels

Me too....the red one gets my vote, it's sweet. The yellow one would look much nicer if the tank was painted yellow for whatever my opinions worth.
 For a while now I've been thinking of building a 350 version once I've cleard the shed backlog. All I've got is a Thor swingarm, a set of 15" Works shocks and an '81 250 donor motor but it's a start the other stuff will appear when and if I decide to build it.

Yellow does it for me ....maybe beacause it blends in with the back ground better ( green ) not the fence

I like them both but the yellow is cool cos it's a bit different.

Yup both are bloody bloody nice! just a thought, I reckon the black wheels would look good on the yellow bike and the gold on the red but eh..did I mention they both look bloody nice

Hey bud, what mod's would you have to do to mount the alloy tank to the '81?

brad it shouldnt be too hard ,the 79 tank mounts with a bolt though the frame with a rubber grommet in each side off the tank at the frount ,i might try one this week and see
