HEAVEN VMX NEXT MEET /CANBERRA SEPT 11TH AND 12TH 2010

I know we haven't got over the last weekend yet but I thought we get this up early. The next meeting is In Canberra and not at Bullahdela.
We have it on good authority that the track will be vintage friendly and will be inspected by Dennis prior to the race weekend.
Most of us love the track and it will be good going south for a change. I am positive there is a few members that will love the short drive. (that is the ones that live close).

We hope to see you there in large numbers.
We will run the normall format
Saturday- Rec riding, you can ride any vintage bike, even modern, bring your mates
Sunday- 2 rounds of Heaven racing

Wow, a vintage meet I don't have to travel for. OK, I'm up for that. I've hardly done any racing for over a year so another chance to get on the track is welcomed. And the Canberra track is good fun. Hope to see a big rollup for this one...

There was a good roll up of intrepid vmx guys to the practice round today under Canberra's clear skies. Track preparation was put behind by Fridays' rain, but Dennis, Greg & crew had the tractors going all morning and we were out on the track by lunch time and got in three solid sessions of practice.
A couple of local ACT blokes have brushed the cobwebs off their pre 85 bikes and are likely to keep the regular Heaven guys honest at tomorrow's round of racing. Those camping overnight will need a good dose of firewater in their bellies with a min 2deg forecast overnight followed by a balmy 17deg for race day.

A big thanks to the Heaven commitee / Helpers for not only organising the event but parking their bikes and manning corners, starts etc so as the rest of us members could ride. Great effort. Thanks

A big thanks to the Heaven committee for making Canberra happen especially the tireless efforts of Dennis who resurected the track from a boggy mess to a rideable mx track even though he left out the "WHOOPS". 

Well done guys bring on Canowindra.

A BIG THANKS to the Committee for another great event.

What a weekend. Turned up Friday afternoon to a wet track and 50km/h winds. Didn't look good.

But thanks to Denis, Greg and the committee they got stuck into the track and had it ready for practice.

Sunday's track was great and a produced some great racing.

Sorry no photos as yet as the OLD Fart has decided to go for a wander in his motorhome and won't be home for another week. When he hands over the photos i will post them on my photobucket website.
