Reproduction IT/YZ 465/490 Connecting Rods
« on: July 10, 2010, 04:41:16 am »
Hi Guys, I am looking into having the Connecting rod reproduced for the IT/YZ 465/490s. These will be kits: connecting rod, crank bearing, crank pin, thrust washers and rod bearing. They will be made in Japan. These will not be available for sale until December or January 2011. Looking at a retail price of $139.95. Any thoughts, ideas or interest?

Thanks, Ron Anchak

I have an IT490 which should have a rod not so far into the future.  Are ProX not availble or as cheap and also made in Japan?  I assume thats in US dollars and with post may or not end up cheaper or then the same as a ProX.

When i tried to get a rod kit for a YZ490 a few months ago, there was no aftermarket one available. ProX didnt make them. Only option was OEM off ebay.
