Not long now until the Canberra round. Once again family commitments kept me from the CRC, but as far as I can see I'll be free for the whole weekend this time. AND... with luck I can debut the TM or RM 125. That should be interesting. Fingers crossed for great weather too, I'm getting sick of riding in the cold...

Thanks Dennis, I am generally not too excited about stutters, due to my severe lack of ability. Are they in the same spot as the 4 were earlier this year ?

The whoops aren't too bad at all. They have been rounded off and can be just rolled or jumped. If you are good enough it looks easy to double-double-double. On the other hand, if you are like me you'll 1.5, single-single-double in a sort of sickening crashing way. But it doesn't get too ugly due to the low speed.

And Dennis is right, the rest of the track is superb. Last time I rode there, a month or so back for a rec day, it was just brilliant. I guess it would all flow better and be easier on the older bikes if the whoops were taken out, but for myself I'm easy either way.

And yep, the DT is open at long last! With a practice day each Sunday for the next few weeks. Not sure when the first one is tho. Is it this weekend Dennis? Book me in for a practice on the 2 September. Gotta get training for the DT Nats.

*Update*  I have been told that the whoops/stutters will not be included in the track for the HEAVEN round. That means that there should be no difficult obstacles on the course at all. Most corners are quite flowing, the track surface is currently superb, and all the tabletops except the top couple are very smooth low angle take-off ramps. It should be a brilliant track for all vintage classes. Ya gotta be there!!!

Heaven should just leave the track design AS IS if they have used the stutters in the past which they HAVE and have had no probs/accidents on them. Why remove them from the track.

LEAVE THEM IN PLEASE.

Those stutters are no good for the old bikes running down pipes, last time I rode there, flattened out a new GMC pipe on the Maico, popped it out of the barrel, im happy enough to bypass em :)

They have changed significantly since the last HEAVEN round there. They got insane for a while - like most of the 250Fs couldn't do anything decent over them insane - and are now back to much more sane level, but still bigger/nastier than they used to be.

I will be out to get a win back on my good Friend Darren Milton on his

Ah well, of course all us Canberra boys will be there. I'm racing the Husky, but if I can get the 125s running I'll bring them out Saturday to try to run them in. Might even race one of them. As for that Gezza character, what is he doing??? He's sold the '83 CR and bought a later model one... I think that means he can't race HEAVEN anymore till they go Pre90. Guess he can just be my pitcrew...

I'm hoping to make it out there on the Sunday. Got a rallysprint on the Saturday.

Gotta get a bike or two running first...  :-[
Hoping to bring the CT1 and, um... maybe the YZ125E? 250G? Everything else is in bits! Have wondered about sticking a stock 175 engine into the DT125 for the ultimate pre-75 250 weapon*

*May not actually be the ultimate. May not be a weapon at all.
