yeah it was running when i pulled it down last Oct'. it had a dodgy CDI that had been pulled apart and wires spliced, i sourced a spare on ebay and everything else (electrics) went back as is. i repaired the dodgy cdi as a get me out of trouble spare but i would never want to run it really as it looks like it will only fail later. i have changed to that one and the new one but still no spark. either i have 2 bad CDI's or its the stator as all else checks out. i know what you mean by go over it i have countless times and that's why i have a break as sometimes you miss the obvious when you are frustrated with things, but so far no luck.
