Gidday fellow VIPER riders we have record entries as of today for ravo this weekend, this is due to the biggest viper membership in years - thanks to all for reaching this milestone, almost 100. Guys the biggest class is now the pre 85 125/250, this race is now on its own and is almost a full grid. ravo track is in mint condition only light rain this week so far and looks great for the weekend, with perfect track prep ,all thanks to the weather last weekend the bendigo club cancelled the meeting due to heavy rain, sorry guys  this is good for us old boys, but let me say the modern class riders will also be there in force***making this a big meeting looks like we will have 2 modern classes as well, we are blessed thanks to Puppet and all the bendigo crew for getting this meeting thru for us, a big thanks to all, also if any one wishes to fax a late entry, please send to Michael Hughes at bendigo dirt bikes on 03 5443 8484 no later than saturday morning. Members please note again we supply free $5.00 lunch voucher to all that have pre entered this weekend with thanks to the Viper Committee ****remember Viper is giving back to those who support us, our members and sponsors, see you there guys for another favourite viper meet.

Well done Viper boys & the Bendigo Club. Hope the event goes well, shame we cant be there, bit of a favourite is our Ravo, but we'll be lapping up the sunshine & humidity in Vietnam.

Hey boys, Mr Maico wants to know how it went at Ravo today as it's his favourite track. Sounds like it would have been a great day as when Ravenswood is prepared, it's awesome. G'day to all from Vietnam, hot & wet.

The weather gods were smiling, track conditions were perfect and the layout was good save for one section which was absolutely atrocious, even the moderns could do nothing with. 3 pox humps which you nearly went over the bars just rolling them. I don't know what the track guy was thinking with that one, even he couldn't ride them but hey we all had to ride the same track. Some pretty close racing in a few classes and I'm as happy as a dog with 2 dicks. I had a good day with 10 races, 4 x 1st, 2 x 2nd, 2 x 3rd, 2 x 5th for a 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall in 3 different classes. Good to see a few of the orientals 'stitched up by a couple of sewing machines'! Ray Stevens had a horrible crash when his steering head separated from the frame on one of the fastest, hardest landings on the track. He went down hard! Hope he is OK. Well done to VIPER & BMCC for anither great event.

Yes Big K has certainly stepped up a level! He was riding well. I struggled on my new 'racer' 414 which is just a little to tall for my short-arse.
KB had a shocker. After running over himself (you can see the tyre marks on his body armour and pants!) he then proceeded to flip the Red Devil, nailed over a jump and did untold damage to body and a flatterned tank to bike.
Henry had his first ride on the big 500 Husgy and collected two firsts in the age group/over 300cc and a second in the expert.
Ray's crash was one of those things that makes you shudder and think "should we do the things that we do on these old bikes?"

It was good to see some racers being envioronmentaly friendly and recycling trees as parts for their bikes. Eh Ian.....

Oh Yeah. You owe me ten bucks Paul.

Great race meeting guys. We had a blast except for those hideous stttttuttter things.  There should be some great pics to come out. Can't wait to see them

Its amazing what a state of mind does to the perception of an event.
Track layout was good, except as you mentioned those rediculous mounds of dirt down the back. I'll add the step up/double jump (or whatever they call it) as crazy, all for the 3 A graders that could just clear it it.
Was a tough call to run/cancel an event given the rain that had fallen at the track leading up to the event. It's a pity that a lot of the track turned into single line but that is what it was.
I see that we had a Pro Level team at the event. Rider, Team Mechanic, Start-Line Tech, Fitness Specialist, etc.

Mick, Gotta say that the Husky was sounding and tracking well. Not surprised with your results at all (again midset   )

Thanks to the Bendigo club for running a great race day welldone.
Was having a good day till race#3 ,Got cross rutted and dumped it over the side of a tabletop with the CR's rear end landing on me.Giving me a Michelin love bite
Kept outa strife for my next 5 races till race #39, 4th gear trip over the back and a head first track inspection done a bit more damage,all in all not a bad day 
Might have to patent that Red gum clutch cable holder ey
