There ain't no secrets to the 500 auto just a lot of time measuring spring tension and clutch drum clearance gone are the days of ringing husky imports and asking for a different spring rate same for all the autos! The auto gearbox is a magic piece of engineering it is a series of clutches that take up as rear wheel speed increases an auto stands out in mud, sand or rocks when on a manual you want to change gear the auto dose it for you, they are a great thing when you get to know them they work the same as your car change up as you gas on and have "NO engine breaking" when you back off
The carby size was dropped for ease of tunning which also caused a noticeable drop in performance for VMX the 40 is the go!
