Thanks Firko for steeling my thunder about period clothing, with my comment about brad on the cz, but l am happy that everyone is taking noticed of what is important about vintage meeting, the word vintage or classic, means, we ride and dress in the era you have chosen.

Re plain helmets : mine's a plain black M2R, they are just a simple open-face, come in black, white, iridescent blue, iridescent red or silver and retail in most bike shops for around $70, still have an AS1698 sticker and are light and comfortable : sort yourself out a period peak and you're away.
Buggered if I'd shell out a grand for a helmet of any sort... :o

Was at the Stanthorpe trail ride a couple of years back on my 86 250 exc with my 82 openface helmet and my 82 KTM jersey. All the young fellas laughed at me. Till we got to the hills. Ha Ha . Pretty girls on their pretty bikes. Actually the girl I saw riding did ok.

This is a bad example - I can see the way that the CT1 has carved him up in this pic.
Now, we all know that Brad can ride out of sight on a dark night, but in this case he clearly had inferior machinery and didn't stand a chance.

You're quite right there Nathan, that little Yammie was absolutely flying. The guy on that thing - man, he IS the man. Later in the pits I got to meet him and even (gasp) talk to him. He was pretty casual about it all. Apparently he's a factory rider who was undercover on the weekend. He even let me sit on the CT and make revving noises. It's such a hot bike that one.

Wish I could ride like that tho...
