Re bazza's reply 630 yesterday, after much toing & froing and discussion with Alistair of VMX, CD9 is now later in the year and the Classic MX Nats have taken the Queens Birthday weekend 9th,10th,11th June. More on this later.
I add my congratulations to everyone involved in the Crystal Brook event.
To all those pessimists who were spreading doom over Pre 75, there were 107 Pre75, 31 Pre70, and 16 Pre65 at Crystal Brook.
Pre60 will be a featured class at 2012 Nats, with extra incentives, so we hope to showcase these truly vintage bikes.

Freaky and the CBMCC - best Nats I have seen - ever - great venue - excellent event all round - well done and what a send off for the last of the "combined" Nats!!!!

The Club did a huge effort,  seeings it only a couple of guys from what i can tell in it, they did a top effort.

YOU left the presentationn before i could get to your tri state trophy......  i thought you where still there so i still went to present it, turned around but as only fat boy was there it went down like a led balloon.

Still i have my favourite foto, maybe we should have had a bet after all  .....

Freaky the pre65 over 263cc, your results show as tony Cavell winning, yet on Saturday night, Nick maxfield was declared Champion by a point was there a mix up

yes Tossa - as Freaky had said - results were provisional until timing results were confirmed and there had been a mistake in the calcs - so Tony was actually the winner.

Freaky - sorry about that mate - I heard it didn't go down like a lead balloon though - people just laid shit on you for winning it????   ;D  I had nothing to do with that eh!!!

Yes timing was provisional and as we did the trophy hand over i noticed on the sheet the point scoring on the last round went down the page as line crossing and not as per scored seperately  as it had been in the mornings 2nd round, ( we had brought the last 250cc across a day early if you remeber as the riders asked we combine the events due to dead bike numbers) unfortunalty it wasnt until the presso did i see the issue and to both tony cavells and Nick maxwells credite we were able to easily and swiftly resolve it.

We didnt want to embarrass either rider so we discussed it with nick straight after the PResntation on SAt night, with a TBC when the timing people came back in the morning.  As it was incorrectly provided to us, when we got the final standing we elected to just present Tony with a class win on the sunday as per normal and 99% of the people wouldnt have noticed, so thanks for letting our little slip up out.    :-[

Love you and thanks for making the effort to come over.   Infact cheers to all the WA guys, they made a good showing.

I still love the look of that tractor unloading the truck, someoen needs to post that picture up here - GOLD !

And thanks to miss Ali for the nicest hug i have had in a long time ( i hope you werent drunk at that time of day)
