Hi Frosty
Classic Chrome does anodizing as well and I have had a great run with them.
I am shocked  :o to hear people say "not to get chrome done in Geelong" but as you can see on the My Bros MR 50 the chrome work is Great.
Classic Chrome Anodized everything on the bike and they Chrome plated the rims ,Kick Starter,Gear Leaver, Shocks,Exhaust Guard and Bars.
I don't want to sound like I am there sales man but they are very good to deal with and every time i go in there i am amazed at the amount of Vintage bike bits lined up to be polished or Chrome plated especially Fuel tanks. ;D

I am not bagging classic chrome they did an A1 job on my dads coupe trims they fixed all the dings and the chrome was perfect and they were that busy so that is always a good sign others told me there isn't any one in geelong that does a good job of it but I think that may be wrong.

That MR looks mint when my GT80 is done I could bring it past going to have to take it somewhere to have some good photos taken.

I will be dropping some things in to classic chrome I need some PE rims anodized swingarms etc etc thanks Michael.

Frosty you can near bet most of the old mini's (unless restored) have been thrashed within an inch of their life.  80's and 50's seem to suffer more from non mechanically minded idiot adults who ride them like spastics :-X seems a little harsh but I couldn't think of any other way to discribe them accurately ::)  ;)

Thanks Firko, I haven't had any replies yet no drama's though.

My mate is very excited about the gt80 my Dad was working on his house and he was saying let him know how much I have spent so he could pay me.

Although it isn't like I ever cared about the money so Dad said why don't you give him a bike of his so looks like I am getting a nice xr500 although I will always still be able to see the bike and get it back from my mate down the track he wants to take it to all bike shows he may win a prize too, thanks Michael.

I just got the wheels back from my mate who put the tyres on and they look great I was thinking about doing it myself but I thought I would scratch them so my mate who has a tyre shop did them no dramas and no scratches. :)

I will post a photo of them I need two things before I can get it rolling a headlight bracket and a steering stem bolt. :)

They look pretty cool the front tyre is a nos irc what the bike rolled out on originally when I got it it had the yamaha bag and sticker on it with the gt80 front tyre part number but the rear is another brand that suits same tread pattern should look good when they are on. :)

Of course my dad scared the crap out of me with these though he said our mate rang and is doing them for free because he got a few big scratches on them and I nearly died but he was joking luckily. :)

Little bits mainly bolts and screws think I will be taking off the exhaust to respray it because it didn't come up that well needs a coat or two more I think looks great with the chrome on I think I am pretty fussy though I won't be able to sleep if I know the pipes paint is not 100% thanks Michael. ;)
