As late as Saturday at the Bonanza good old Dave told me he was  "never going to sell the DOT". I think you owe me $10 or a beer or something Dave. We made a bet elsewhere on the forum where I reckoned you were a shoe in to sell the DOT and you laughingly reckoned you never would, "this ones's a keeper".
I really don't know why you bother Dave, I honestly can't remember you finishing a bike over the last 20 years!

Early Saturday morning @ HBBB, the DOT was offered up as a swap for that 125 Monty nearby it! ;)

Go on Dave, hold off on the sale and finish it off.
Destined to a life behind bars. A garage full of KTM's and a 73 CR 250M Honda....H7 250 Monty will be at Harrow!
A "never was" of the Nineties...

Mark, l remember that you knocked me back on that bet, but l am very happy to offer you a beer anytime my friend, and l did say that this was a keeper, but l have desided to go down a different road. I do hope someone will buy the Dot, it truely is the real deal. it owns me a lot money, but beside all that  l really would like a true classic guy to by it and use it not lock it away and throw away the key.
All the costly work has been done, If it sell or not we will have a beer together.
Cheers Fellows.

I fully agree with my dear mate here, Dave is a good bloke and it's indeed his bike and it's his perogative to do what he wants with it. However, in the 20 years I've known Dave, he invariably comes up with these "bike I've always wanted" scenarios that he swears he'd never, ever sell. I just wish he'd finish one before they go into the Trading Post. You should have dropped back at our pit for that beer Dave, or were you too embarrassed to admit that it was on the market?

yep, there is always ' another road" your going down.

It dont bother me what you sell and buy, its just the bit where you say you have spent a shit load on it and you are moving em on at a loss.

Move em on by all means but i dont think we need the heart and soul story, if you are infact stupid enough to poor money into a bike you may sell on again, then be prepared to make a loss and quit the drawn out heart strings that always precceed's  it.

Its just another bike and its forsale.

i think the bet was with NAthan ?

I now understand i saw Dave early sunday morning talking to the Bloke who had the beautiful VB125 Monty next to the Dot, and didn't realise it was him otherwise, i would have introduced myself.

i'm getting confused with all the different forum names Albrid, Dot, TLR ?

yes, i am a bit slow to catch on.

l am not pooring out my heart and soul, I don`t need to sell my Dot l want to sell my Dot, your dreaming up bullsh--t  just for this thread, as for the VB 125, that is my friends bike , and l was congratulating him on his restoration, yes l owned the bike once, if it wasn`t for chris plus four owners later after me the montesa would be still in a box as bits. As for the cost of this Dot, it is all quoted in my book with receipts, from the purchase of the bike to the cost of rebuilding it.  Freaky you have a lot to say for a person that took advantage of another person that owned a b40 bsa, and then tried selling it a week later for $4500. And who are you calling stupid, when buying a item on ebay and paying for that item twice, and crying over your own stupidity, by not reading the sellers subscriptions.

Wow you really need to get your fact straight before you make up your own shit dave>

Advantage ???  JUst to get your facts in order try this chain of events -  i was selling a MX 250A and the buyer did the old used daves sale on me and offered me a B44 as he couldnt sell it and he didnt have the coin to pay for my bike, i had no use for it and he suggested i onsold it for what i thought my bike was worth, my risk in taking a totally unkown as a trade and what the market told me it was worth.

SO im not sure how that relates to buying a bikes , talking em up , then a month later selling em with the bleading heart story about how much it cost you. if you owned anything for more than a few months i too would be surprised.  your into buying and selling bikes, i just dont know why you just dont admit it and move on.

i would also be surprised if that auction donst get a few shill bids and gets sold umost yourself a few time too.

ANy good luck with the sale , and i hope one day you find a bike your actually happy with or a class to ride in.

And who are you calling stupid, when buying a item on ebay and paying for that item twice, and crying over your own stupidity, by not reading the sellers subscriptions.

Actually now you mention it i would probally call it out right desceetful and obhorant, when i buy an item on ebay and pay for it by paypal immediately, i dont expect a COD package to turn up on my door a few days later demanding payment for an item that was never asked to be shipped that way, saying "we will invoice you after the auction" in fine print at the bottom of you listing, does not give you the right to send my item however you choose thats lasy for you, and then to land me for COD thats over the top.

WHile where at it i shouldnt also have to LOdge a paypal claim on you through ebay after waiting over 2 weeks to get my money back because you  reckon you couldnt  use the refund system or perhaps just liked to stall payment.

So you right maybe i was just plain stupid, even knieve to think you could actually conduct a simple ebay transaction and not screw that up.  Sorry i was wrong, but that was a year ago and i moved on, but thank you for reminding me how you think....
