Powdercoating at home??
« on: February 28, 2010, 06:43:41 pm »
I've noticed some cheapish powder coating kits for sale on ebay, just wondering If anyone has done their own powdercoating and whether its worth giving it a go, could be handy for smaller things like hubs, triple clamps, and springs etc.  Could use an old enclosed BBQ as an oven ??? ???

I was interested in doing the same and was all resolved to purchase some powdercoating stuff off Ebay USA to give it a try (but home reno's have taken priority :(). The prices are cheap enough and there is plenty of gear and info in the way of CD's etc.

I have heard of people (on other forums etc) using all types of ovens and heating elements, and apparently getting good results. Even metal Brownbuilt cabinets and hair dryers :o.
