Firko,look on the bright side mate,no more fugging pre 90 "discussion",they have their own site now(hopefully ::)) ;D, :P

Pre '90 is inevitable mick.. and by the way they are not a modern bike, they're 20 years old.
Try telling a young guy he needs to race an '89 CR250 instead of his 2010 CRF250.

Don't even bother with the wind up over Pre 90 JohnnyO, its not worth it.

if they cannot see it coming it doesn't matter. i agree with you it's inevitable.

C'mon guy's,
I've only been on the scene for 5 minutes but it's my opinion that this particular thread was started for obvious reasons and it's disappointing that some people take every opportunity to get personal and twist the knife.
Luv Ya's All.

Funnily enough Mick but I didn't mean you, but I think I've got lead poisoning.
I've done a bit of foot in mouth just recently.

and it is not the only club -- you can only try and then we learn  ;D--such is life in mx/sx/vmx

The Maffra-Sale Motorcycle Club would like to advise that the two Arena Cross events scheduled for this month have been cancelled due to lack of interest.
Only a small number on entries were received and as such the club made the decision to cancel the event.
For any further information please contact the Maffra-Sale Motorcycle Club. www.maffrasalemotorcycleclub.org.au

Geeez.......... ???
I'm 44 and I must say an '87 YZ 250 is more revelant to me than some obscure, leading link four-stroke with half an inch of suspension.... ??? ::)

To Old for pre 90 ??? wash your mouth out John, by the way you were riding at Conondale a few weeks back you are just getting started ;D

By the way I was on my pre 90 bike that day (which is in pretty good nick) and no way I could keep with the faster vets on the 250 four strokes little lone the 450's!!

Oh and thanks very much for the new site Graeme I have joined as I do have a 450 as well.

Jeeeez. I'm so f**king tired of being the poster boy for the "I hate pre 90" brigade. If anyone would have stepped out of their personal red mist for a few seconds and actually read my rants on the subject you would have understood that I'm totally in favour of the pre 90 class, love the bikes, regard the era as the golden era of motocross and actually own two pre 90 bikes.

My whole opposition to the introduction of pre 90 is purely based on the timing of the classes introduction. I'm not the evil " pre 75 for ever" ogre that I've been painted by people who should know better. I merely think that classes are being introduced way too quickly and not allowing for the existing classes, in this case pre 85 and Evo, to reach their full potential. You think I'm full of shit? When has the Evo class had enough entries to run a 125 class in HEAVEN events? When has there been full grids in all capacity classes in both Evo and pre 85?

In the end it's inevitable that pre 90 evolves but I still don't think it's time yet. Now can we get back on focus and discuss the Old Racer forum before it turns into yet another shitfight.
