Freaky, I'm not sure if it is an RD 125, but as Slider says, Ian Williams had one as well, both built in Canberra by Doug Bryant, I may be wrong , but I'm sure KP still has the bike, I'll talk to him later this week.

They were bloody fast , I was at a practice day at Fairbairn in th '70s, both KP and Ian were there, on the 125 twins,they made an awesome noise , tearing around together !!

#92 in shot 4 is Wagga's Loyd Richards , Has anyone any idea who #19 in shot 2 could be ??

Just come along this site, some really good stuff, I was at that practice as young kid watching Ian and KP and amassed at what these two were doing, I bought my first bike off Taffy Williams in 1976 and we became friends later in life, Taffy sent me some pictures years ago that I'll try to post, one is Ian on the twin 125 and I also have some pictures of taffy doing some trials riding with his bowler hat on, I'll see how I go?

Glad you like the site. Welcome aboard. Would love to see some pics of Ian. If my
memory is right, I think Ian made the front cover of REVS on the 125 twin. I would really
like to see that pic again. Had a red border around the cover I think. Foss was good friends
with Ian and Taff. Ian was one of Australia's  top short circuit riders.

Sorry I just realised I could have done them in one go, I took the long way round
This is the Aus All powers title 1980, if you blow it up you will see, Ian Williams, Kev Condron, Caddy and Len Norris  the second one of Ian coming out of the right hand corner in the pictures I just posted is at Griffith and I think the other coming out of the left hander is at Canberra.

Any one interested in one of Taffy on a trials bike in his younger days? or is this the wrong area to put it in?

Hey Slider29 and Jap454,

I must admit that is a great shot, it just wreaks of totally in control and in the rhythm of that moment, it's not often that you see right handers (In Classics Dirt Track that is)  in this sort of "beauty".

BTW a few years ago I was at Taffy's place and he showed me all the programs that he had kept/accumulated from the majority of meetings held at Fairburn Park which included the Lester Edminster track (now no longer) and other meetings, my interest was that I entered "being the appropriate word" in the 1977 Short Circuit Australian Titles, ironically that was the only programme he couldn't find (LOL), but he had heaps from before and after that year. I probably should try and follow up about where all that paper work ended up as I'm sure after seeing this site, someone would have some interest or appreciation in it?

On another note, on my way home from the XS1100 rally in Nymboida earlier this year I stopped at the Nabiac Museum (1st time since seeing it in Canberra all those years ago) and had a look as Taffy mentioned he'd donated some of Ian's memorabilia there some time ago, good to see and a great museum.
