Barbed wire,
That's something that doesn't belong at a racetrack.
Sure can't make out the track from that photo.
I rode around it in the later 70's and love the idea of a long Dirttrack.
Hopefully one day we see a really long dirt track with several left and right turns just like ROADRACING on a dirt surface.

Son, I knew Jack was very ill but not that he had passed. Ted was the one that shared these two photos of Jack and himself. Jack was a master of the sidecars and will be missed. Condolences to the families on this day.

I have known Ted for over 40 years
But I get in trouble from Lyn because it's Ed not Ted.
Anyway keep up with the great photos and it would be good to see a few of George Watson as well,
Some of these photos are great,
I can't remember the OAK Milk sign writing on the fence at Heddon Greta,

Son, thanks, I think we have done HG enough, I will try to dig up some from another track next. Hope people appreciate them for the history they show.

I'm with you there, Graeme, I do miss the now defunct Wambanumba, Young, and Boxers Creek, Goulburn , Miniature TT mile and a bit long, oil bound style of circuit, over the Ton down the straights and a good mix of corners on both but track prep on a non oil circuit that long would be prohibitive for most clubs these days.

Mate Id be happy if it had several types of surfaces including high speed oil with lots of run off
That way we could have races like the Origin of SUPERMOTO the SUPERBIKERS of Carlsbad

Hi guys, I would agree sliderulz myself, I think any bike with history or provenance should be maintained but left as original as possible, especially as the golden era riders are starting to get thinner on the ground. I also appreciate a really nicely restored bike, but we have to try and protect some of the history before it all goes. My thoughts but each to their own.

I agree.
dont follow me i'm probably off line!
