A93 was Robbie Ashton another QLDER. Sadly he died a couple of years ago. He was a very stylish and fast rider with speedway experience. Always on well presented fast bikes. I cant remember Kerry Grays race number... I will try to find out. I believe Kerry Gray was the last rider to win an ozzie title on a two valve motor. [84S JAP IN A HAGON SAND TRACKER]

I don't doubt you Butcher but there was a bit of talk recently that several people inc KD were involved in its restoration, unless it's his Godden Weslake that I'm thinking of?

Some ripper photos there! Steve, the frame that you are thinking of is K. D's 1975 Godden/Weslake.
The one in the photo is a Godden /JAP. I think??? he got it from the Poms when they came out here.
Foss or SON should know.
cheers  Mark

The frame I have is a godden side port, it had a jap motor in it when it was dismantled. Not by me. I  was going to put a Honda engine in it  but Robbie Dall told me he would tread on my head if I modified it. The forks were straightened by Len Norris in about 1987 it is still as it was then

Butcher you do have the KD Godden that started with the Weslake
Keith should ring you in the next few days or we will be at Barleigh Ranch on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
I have a Hagon or a Godden that I would give you for the XL if you give that frame back to Keith

Yeah, Mark, it's a JAP alright, that KD's on in that pic, it is the earlier Godden frame with the straight, Pre 1974 style A frame, the later, 1975 on,  Goddens had the droopy A frame, as you know. The  Godden Jawa that Arne  Henricksen offered me a ride on was the earlier style.
