The noise might be piston if its the old Honda or Wiseco type some model pistons  can have up to 3thou skirt taper add whatever clearance it was bore to 3thou ?? total of 6thou will rattle it arse off
Have the piston ring pegs been moved to clear the CZ ports ,rings might be catching on the ports

Not that this necessarily helps but I use an IT250G ignition on my 73 250 CZ and it works pretty well (yep, reversed taper on the flywheel to fit). The bike is still tractable as the flywheel still carries some weight. I also use a twin lead H/T coil and run dual plugs.
WANTED. Canams;all models,complete or parts.SWM stuff too!

a little off topic but is there any merit in the twin plugs? in theory it would seem there may be but in practical terms...? curious george ;)
