Stewy

After I sorted the fuel tap issue she ran well on Sunday morning, I think she was starving for fuel especially on the big hills.

Wow! What a nice collection of run abouts.

This use to be mine. 1979 Yamaha DT175. Couldn't brake it even when I tried.

Then had a 1982 Yamaha XT250 - can't find a photo of it now....will update.

That made way for the 1983 Suzuki DR500s

My trustee DR done plenty of K's gets neglected and just keeps coming back for more.
The missus told me I can buy anything I want and I think I will probably buy a brand new DR.
It dosnt do any one thing perfectly but is pretty good at most things.

Yeah, it's a good 2 owner bike. I had one from new for 10 years and did 150k on it. I just grabbed this one for sentimental reasons.  ::)
It feels really small compared to my V-Strom.  :D

The guy I bought it off told me it wouldn't shift into first because of a little pin somewhere. When I finally got around to pulling it apart, I found the transmission had completely destroyed itself. And I mean completely. How nothing made it's way outside the cases is beyond me............  ::)

Still, I got quite a few good parts off it that I can use on other bikes.

Looks like a good match for my XTZ750.
Which I just might have to sell to bankroll some more sidecars.
I need to work out how to get some photos on here-must ask an 8 year old to help :D

My latest purchase:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130415202825&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I didn't know it when I bought it (nor did the previous owner), but its the ex-Jake Stapleton 4-day bike - first in class, and second outright. :)
http://www.ma.org.au/fileadmin/user_upload/Documents/National_Results/Enduro/Australian_Four_Day_Enduro/2004_A4DE_Results.pdf

And fudge me, its fast. At least as fast as the modern 125MXers I've ridden, while having a quite a bit more right down low and super strong in the midrange (all by 125 standards, of course).
 :)

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
