Can't see the hub but the tank's cactus.. it's got 2 bullet holes in it. :)

difficult to be sure but it don't look period to me.
brake seems even small for a Yammie.

Looks like hes got a floating rear brake on it, maybe a "D" hub?. Front one is later model as well.

floating baking plate is std for that model and a few others and is pre~70 legal as the DT1 rear was floating.
it ain't a "D" hub or even late 70's 125 as the sprocket bolts were still small in diameter up till 79.
after that the chain swapped to the same size as the brake.
i wonder if it's a late model 80? :-\

YZ250G/H/J/K - but probably H+, seeing as it has gold rims.


Interestingly, those bikes have pretty much got a different part number for each year's hub, spokes and rim, despite them all looking the same (apart from the G having silver rims, which explains why the G rim is a different part number))

The brake plate is also from the same era.
