New WA VMXer - Few Questions

Hi All, been a long time coming that ive wanted to get into VMX.

Ive been looking into our VMX club here in W.A and had a couple of questions that hopefully someone can answer for me.

It states on the VMX-WA club website....

"VMXWA is exclusively pre-75 era, so if you own a trail or dirt bike, solo or sidecar built before December 31st 1974, with no more than 7" front wheel travel and 4" rear wheel travel, then it's eligible for vintage motocross with VMXWA"

Now, I wish to race my CR125M1 and wish to know if this bike would be eiligible. I have sent a email to the club president but have not yet had a reply. My CR is definately in the colours they bought out for 75 (silver tank with red on top) but how do I find out if it was actually built in 74 or 75!? HELP!

Tin Tin - chase yourself up a copy of the Motorcycling Australia Manual (rules and regs).  Inside that it list some special "follow on models" where the 75 models are not different to the 74 models and therefore are eligible.  I am not going to stick my hand on my heart but I think the 75 CR125 was one of those.  If your bike is listed as a follow on model then no dramas.

cr125m1 are flow on models and are eligible to be raced in pre 75. but if it is the 1976 model it will not be eligible to be raced in pre75.
all honda elsinore cr manufactured between 1973 to 75 are eligible.

Typical cheating Honda Bastards!!  have to wait till 1975 to get a bike eligible for pre 75!!!lol
