You can tell by the length of the shadows and the 250 behind that this is the last moto, second moto for Leisk.Hes not leading this one Leichen went wire to wire. Thats Rob Herring behind , he beat RJ who had crashed on the firstlap and was playing catchup the whole moto .RJ didnt catch the Fish this time.

Thanks Mate  and regarding your comment on Leisky- I agree totally. What he did in both the US and EUR against the Baileys,Wards,Johnsons ,Omara's and Thorpe ,Geboers,Jobe ,Nicol  has lost none of its awe for me all these years later.
Have you seen the DUKE DVD of the 500's in 89 ???  :o

i have most MXdNs and 80s 500 GPs on DVD if anyone wants them.
motomaniac, i wish i was there in 88,  that must have been one hell of a weekend.

I know i have banged on about leisk before but he rarely seems to get a mention on this forum?  why?  What he did was outstanding, he went from Australia and very nearly cracked the USA and europe when MX was full of legends.   He will get a Huge welcome when he arrives at farleigh next year,  i have already had eric geboers on the phone telling me he is in training for the event ,   jeffs reply to that comment was "tell him not to train to hard" .    we just want to see dave thorpe ,eric geboers and jeff leisk the 1989 HRC dream team re united once more.      If anyone wants to partly sponsor the event and be on all the promotional material please dont hesitate to give me a shout 447767205198 ,  the photos on the website has recieved 55000 hits since the event in sept so you will get good coverage.

" MX was full of legends" Exactly.I was also there (in Euro) in 1990 hoping to see Leisk ride but he was injured. He gave up too soon., he could have won titles in the early nineties.
I don't know , Im haven't been on this forum for that long.
Yer it was unreal , that was my first time in Europe. If you were at  Matterley Basin the atmosphere was like that but with the added mystique of being in the non english speaking world.
