What a peanut, seemed like a good idea at the time.
A mate of mine replaced the alternator on his VW transporter.
After finishing the job he started her up and noticed a rattling noise coming from the plastic shroud.
He reached down to adjust the shroud and you guessed it, got his hand caught in the belt and it dragged him into the engine bay and stalled the engine, his feet were off the ground and luckily his neighbor heard his calls for help and came to his aid.
As no one else could squeeze in to reach the belt, my mate had to cut the belt himself with a pair of sidecutters.
After several opp's his hand still isn't 100%.
