Goodies for Yamaha's XT/TT500

YAMAHA THUMPERS LOOKING PRETTY

XT500 & TT500 Parts Specialists, XT500parts.com of U.K., have just added the first impressive plastic injection molded side covers to their growing range of reproduction spare parts for these classic singles.  The covers have been produced in accurate colour matches to the TT500’s individual shades of “El Toro Orange” and “Competition Yellow”.  The investment in tooling costs is now starting to bear fruit in extremely accurate replicas of the now unobtainable Yamaha plasticware.

The company has orders in production for all the other rare plastic side covers and fenders (mudguards) with the full colour range for the XT, including the really rare “Ginger Brown” and “Crystal Silver” being made available early next year.

The business is a one-man outfit which puts the emphasis on good value to go with high quality; cables start at £3.95/8 USD/10 AUSD and a new kick stand that weighs in just like the Yamaha original is under £30/60 USD/75 AUSD.  With prices like that, the aim is to put a lot more thumpers back on dirt and tarmac rather that end their days in breaker’s yards.

XT500parts.com can be contacted through their website of the same name and have offered to supply OzVMX.com with any of their parts for testing and evaluation if we ask.  Generous folk!

There's a guy on ebay from the US selling NOS white side covers. I paid $60 US each, but he now has a set for $49 each  buy it now. (DOH!)
