LOL... Stupid bloody power valves... Let me guess: It either jammed with carbon and sheared off the end of the PV drum, or the two halves came loose and it fell intio the piston...

Stupid bloody power valves.

Anyhow, they PV drum is still available new from Yamaha for ~$200. Don't know what you mean by "holder"?

ACTMCC runs a pre-85/pre-88 class at their club days. There's a group of regulars/semi regulars who will welcome you with open arms (so to speak: the idea of getting hugged by a sweaty Dennis is not a pleasant one :D).
Plus a lot of the guys are taking their early~mid 1980s bikes to things like Cooma/Wagga Amcross meetings and racing the over-35s class (against the moderns). At the very least, they have a good day racing each other.

HEAVEN is the NSW vintage specific club, who run up to a pre-85 class. Despite what you might have read, you'll again be welcomed with open arms.

Be good to see another 125L out there... assuming I ever fix mine (stupid bloody power valve!).

Thanks for the reply.
The whole power valve was missing from the bike when I got it.
I contacted pitmans down in SA an order one for $212.
The whole bike is going through an rebuilt.
So I don't have a bike that falls apart first time out.
Looking forward and getting down to track in ACT.
Do you race there?

Nuthin wrong with those PV's, plenty of RD's, RZ's DT's & TZ's use them without any dramas, there must be something very dodgy with the actuation or where they join. With today's whizz bang black boxes they are sweet stuff
Anyway's whom would have an old base gasket for me or can make a rubbing of the bottom of the barrel(Won't say what for but think 120HP & V4 & 500& Yamaha and join some dots)?.
TIA

Gibbo, I raced ACT rounds semi-regularly last year, but have been too busy this year. I'm hoping to make it to most rounds next year, but with a baby on its way, who knows what will happen...

Have managed a few HEAVEN events + the VMX nats this year to keep me sane, though.

Lozza, are you going to Clarence? I can lend you my 'not very healthy' 125L barrel. Actually, if I can get a sleeve, The Institute will probably win the contract for that one too, so you may as well have the barrel...  ;D

Congrats to you and Anna ;D
I'll tell you what's gonna happen 1. You both will all of a sudden value a good nights sleep ??? ??? 2. Spare time is nuked  :'( 3. You will discover an isle in Woolies with "baby stuff" on both sides(Aldi nappies are the go) :o 4.Everyone you know will come out of the woodwork with 'baby gifts/things'(you will soon discover why ;D ;D) and last but not least your house and yard will be cluttered with 'baby stuff'  >:( but other than that it's a hell of a lot of fun and very rewarding

Yes I'll even give you an entertainer/walker and a swing thingy to kick your baby stuff collection off

Clarence would love to but doubt it :'( Is the YZ/DT piston in your possesion as your barrel is done.

Middle of June - with a bit of luck it'll be born on Anna's birthday and I won't have any additional dates to remember... ;)
With a bit more luck, it will be born a bit later and won't be another bloody Gemini...  :D

It'll be given the opportunity to be a racer, regardless of the gender. "You can race or you can go and help out lap-scoring: Now choose".

(Sorry for whoring up your thread Gibbo....).

I think this thread is aready broken, SOOO  Congratulations Nathan and well done.
Welcome to a whole new world ;D.  Lozza has explained it pretty well.  I'm sure you will love it as much as I do.
Do yourself and Anna three favours before the little one arrives.
1. Sleep at every opportunity - you won't get any for a few years
2. Go out to dinner every night
3. Go and see a movie.
Only joking of course ;D, I swear it will be the most amazing thing to ever happen to you.
Hoony will know he's alive when number 2 arrives   ;D
It's all good.  Let me know if you need any baby stuff.
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.
