Seriously dated ,those look like custom made yamaha aircanister copies too me.
Wonder who it is ,some of the WA guys rode thsoe old Hondas well past thier use by date.

It was the year that Honda forgot.  It was a 76 model with more changes to the rear suspension set-up than I've had hot breakfasts, none of which were any better than the orginal.  To make it more competitive, HRC sent out the front forks, which were nitrogen filled but non-adjustable.  They also sent out a "mugen" kit (port job and pistons) to go with it.  That was all for the Oz Titles.  It all went back straight after.

The rider was from SA.  Very debonair, handsome, intelligent, smooth, ..... the superlatives are endless

Given the present state of obesity, baldness, divorced status and still riding bikes, I don't think any of the mentioned superlatives apply now, and given that we gain wisdom over the years, they certainly weren't true back then.... :D

72 was the year the Titles were held in Wallan, weren't they ???? (read "dust titles"  :()

So what would this event have been?  Was it the Grand National or something like that  ??? ???
