Broadford world GP 2000 Shot taken by Mrs Maico
Andrew Mcfarlane followed by Michael Byrne.. The defining moment in there international career in my opinion. :)

It was in a 250 frame I've been led to believe with reservoirs attached to the top of the forks or some such thing.  ???

I not sure if bumper from powerhouse bought it at one stage, but from what i remember it was pretty ratty and Kawy
wanted big bucks for it. That was a while ago though

I agree, that was one trick KX500. He rode the wheels off the thing too. Kym Ashkenazi was also riding a KX500 at the Broadford GP from memory...has anyone got an update on his UK gaol time for selling crack cocaine?

Do I win an icy-stick or something?  :-X
My mate reckon's he had a real good look at it and it had some cannisters (like on remote reservoirs) coming out of the fork caps to do with some blah, blah, blah thing (I started to fall asleep half-way through the explanation  :-\). Would they have been some Ohlins creation of the time?

Definately not ratty when built, Rob is a perfectionist! I meant, it looked ratty after being around used and abused for years after the gp!

The bike is still in existence, and yes it is ratty.
The bike was built/overseen by Andrew's dad and I have some detailed shots of it somewhere. It is nothing special given what you can by off the shelf now to stuff the KX5 engine into (other than a world GP contested bike)
The base bike was a 99 KX250 with a KX5 engine stuffed in it. Ohlins Fr & Rr with some other mods.
