Now one for the Suzuki Fans

Hi guys,

All the Suzuki fans on here may have been turning (Kawasaki) green with envy with my KT's, so I present to you my Dad's RL 250.

What have we done:

• Proprietary Benno_r paint job
• Talon 520 chain conversion
• Falcon shocks - 20mm extra length
• Fatbars and adapters
• Yellow Venhill Cables
• Gold rims and stainless spokes
• The TM250 clutch cover came on the bike when he bought it

We acknowledge the airbox tube and sprocket cover are NOS "Junkyard Wars"! But since this photo was taken we have sourced original Suzuki Items.

Benno, in regards to the TM primary cover and clutch rack setup, this I assume would work much more smoothly than the regular pushrod assy given the fact they become hopeless once a little wear takes effect? I was thinking of doing this to my RL before the hydraulic setup came along first which does make things considerbly easier to live with but still curious as to whether the TM setup is an improvement?

G'Day Doc,

Having ridden the other "standard" RL up here, I don't think the cover makes too much of a difference, though I can see the problems the standand pushrod system might get as you described. If I was you, I'd take out 3 springs from your clutch and give that a go. The TM cover is also big, and a bit precarious when riding in a rocky section.

Howdy guys,
I fitted a TM clutch cover to my RL and it is an improvement over the stock setup.
A better cable run is part of that. The cover is about 15mm wider at the point where the actuator enters.
Also fitted TM style mag cover which allowed the gear lever to be tucked in another 40mm or so, fair trade off I reckon.

Thanks for the comments, The 15mm extra width doesn't make any difference to me Ben so I may look into doing this to my RL. If the case does get damaged it's not hard to find a replacement Was going to run the TM mag cover, facthunt did you also swap the selector shaft also for the shorter TM item or just the pressure plate?
