Im getting a bit skeptical of bikes that bring big money on ebay at the moment. Seems that people are shill bidding as bikes that sell for big bucks are relisted a short time later. Dont really know why they do that.

bearing in mind the bike puts out 250bhp its probably a fair price. I'm led to believe that it's quite smooth and useable power too btw. ;D

I have to agree with you brad. That '84 KX500 that sold for $5000 plus just last week is back on ebay now.

This might be all above board, but.....
I have seen some bikes go for stupid money on e-bay lately and then re-appear 2-3 weeks later with a different type of auction and usually at a lower start price. When you check the feed back (again 2-3 weeks later) from the seller and the buyer of the original auction there is no negative feedback - What gives?

I think there is a few sellers out there getting their mates to bid and push the price up and the mate ends up winning the auction so the bike is relisted at a later date.

I was bidding on it up to 4500.00 and then it took off .I spoke to the owner and he says its only had 2 owners but  i think it would make a good restorer .
it was the 250 bhp that i was interested in as i should be able to blow everyone away with that. ;D

I sold a CR250M that was extremely well set up by the previous owner - gem reed valve, GMC pipe, ported, windowed psiton, shocks etc etc etc - at $4500 I just cant see $6K in such a bike - for normal people there seems to be a ceiling at around $5K but these that go over - even Dead Dog racing seems to ask a lot?

Yes that price would be a bit over the top for an un-restored bike (even if low mileage).

I have one off these and although not as clean as this it is all there, had it on the ozvmx bikes for sale page at 3500 and did not get one call.

Good think to as I am now going to through a leg over it and do some short circuit racing with it.

Brad, did you see the post re doing some flat track at Action park, interested??
