I saw this bike at the swap meet here on the weekend, it looked straight and tidy although somewhat neglected. Of note were good radiators, all original plastics, no wear and tear on frame rails or pegs etc. I think the guy was happy to take around $1000 for it, and now it turns up on All Classifieds with a spare bike. I can't say what it might need to be a runner, but if you live around here could be worth a look.

Was this the one that was at the last ACT HEAVEN round?

I was keen to get his number, but he left while I was off racing.

Dunno Nathan, I didn't see that one. This one is original and in OK shape, but neglected. Looks like it may have been an enduro hack - grease nipples on steering stem and swingarm. Turned over but low compression, clutch couldn't be budged. Pipe really hacked around at the barrel and has thrown a chain. Rear backing plate looks a bit sad too. But the basics are definitely there, would be an OK buy if you got it around $6-800 I reckon. Or maybe $1200 with the extra bike. But you'd have to have a good look to settle on worth and price... Gezza just took one look and said it was crap, while me and Dennis thought it had potential.

Sounds like the same one. Didn't excite me at the asking price, but I figured I might have been able to haggle him down (significantly) to a point where I thought it was worth it - but I've since solved that 'problem' by spending all of my money in other ways.
