road race wet weather tyres.

I'm looking for some road race wet weather tyres in 18 or 19 inch sizes. I'm also looking for any Carlilse, Maxxis or Goodyear dirt track tyres. Once again, for the Benelli project.

No thanks Pete, I've got a few speedway tyres. It's for the Benelli, I'm using 18" rear wheel and I've got the old 19" Carlilse I used on my Maico for the front. It'll be good catching up with you though!

I dunno if 18in wets exist any more if they did they would be bedrock specials by now. 'Normal' dry treaded tyres are is very good in the wet. Avon make a gumball special but sit down when you get the price. I have a 2 new Dunlops here I'm kken to shift if your up to put some cuts in them.

How much Walter? I want wets because it's a dirt bike and methinks slicks might not pass the traction test ;D.
However, my mate has a tyre groover and we may be able to whip up some cool dirt tyres using a bit of artistic flair! A mate makes his own dirt track tyres for his kids 125 from slicks.

Firko,
You can still get new 18" wet weather Bridgestones. That's what they run on in VFR 400's race bikes. If you know anyone who races in the 400 class they should be able to put you on to some used wets.
