Hitchhiking KDX
« on: October 08, 2007, 09:11:05 am »
Hi Guys, seems I have aquired a KDX & it needs a lift from Bundaberg, Qld. to Broadford, Vic. It may even enjoy stopovers at Ipswich Qld or Sydney if thats convenient to anyone.
Can help out with Beer, Cash or GMC gift certificates :D

Hi Geoff,
Funny how you can aquire things from so far away with so little effort!!! Some would call it destiny. This doesn't have anything to do with the Vinduro a few weeks ago does it??

If your new toy needs a place to say in Sydney during its journey southward just give me a call - the KLX would enjoy the company for a few days.

Oh and there is another KLX on eBay in Broadford... nah I don't really need another one???

I should be able to help with Sydney to Broadford, subject to timing/when the KDX needs to be back at work.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Yeah the bloody Vinduro got me looking for old enduro bikes. This one's a late model so to speak, but I had one of these new in 86 & always regretted selling it.

Restoring the bike to it's former glory shouldn't be too hard, the hard bit will be restoring me to my former glory :o

Bugger, why did you tell me this, I would love one of these too but Iv'e allready bitten off more than I can chew.

Thanks 42 & Nathan, we'll see how we go, I have to catch up with Jimson in the not too distant future as well.

Hi Tankslapper, no the bike won't be crated, it's just a normal roller

I'm told it's an 88, last of the air cooled & otherwise the same as the 86 allthough my 86 was the US spec. non complianced model.

I think I have a deal going, but I need to have it crated.
Can any one in or near Rocklea help with a crate?
Something from a bike shop perhaps?

G'day Geoff if you can get the bike to south of Sydney I can pick it up for you and stash it at my place until I pick up the Indian it won't happen over night but it will happen I just have to do a lot of praying before I take the XD ute on a long trip. ;D

Yes Jimson, I thought if it made it as far as Sydney we could rendezvous inbetween. I know what you mean about the ute, mine is currently awaiting tyres & a radiator.
Current plans though are to get it down to Brissie shortly where it can holiday until the new year when I will pick it up myself. Allthough if anyone is doing a Brisbane to Sydney run we could maybe do a deal.
