Scrutineering BMCC

Pardon my ignorance, but do we have a nationally accredited eligibility scrutineer in the club, or in the Brisbane area?  This weekend, all going well, riders at the BMCC practice will be able to have their bikes noise tested, in preparation for the Nationals.  It would be excellent if other possible areas of focus eg chain guards, numbering & eligibility concerns could be addressed as well.  The scrutineering topic has been covered in print on this forum to the extent of 18 pages at last count (sorry, 19 pages), and it's great to talk about it, but it sometimes doesn't sink in until it's demonstrated.  Besides, if the Queenslanders are going to flog the other states, let's make sure they can't cry "ILLEGAL" afterwards.

i hope this helps mike,

for national titles you need a level 4 'eligibility' scrutineer and you also require a machine examiner. Just to run a club meet you only need your level 2 examiner, but by a general guide the stanard gcrs will work and your competitors should be aware of their requirements before competiting, noise levels are a hap hazard affair and will be affected by your location to the motorway and require an experinced operator of the appliance to give a true guide.

G`day Mike at riders briefing at our last meeting ,Michael Bamford did speak on the matter of scrutineering for the titles .whilst the bikes where being examined if you noticed they where  looking a little harder?Michael brought up all the things that where wrong with bikes ie lack of numbers ,wrong colour numbers/no plates ,lack of letters on bikes .Sprocket covers where 1 item that brought up especially,no bar ends/handle bar plugs,loose spokes etc.His words where-make sure it is right ,they will send you away if there is something wrong with your bike ( this dosnt even include the eligibilty side of things) ask one of the scrutineers on sunday prac to give your bike a savage look,try to pull it apart if they cant find anything all should be good
